Question:
Should I get a Macbook or PC?

I have had PCs and they seem to become very slow or break in barely two years. I mean, the PCs work fine for a while but then I have to buy a new one a short time later. However, I can get a PC for cheap. I have never had a Macbook before but I was thinking maybe I should just save up for that instead. The new 13-inch Macbooks are over $1000 which seems kind of expensive for a laptop. I need someone who has experience with both. Which should I get? Are Macbooks worth the money because I won't have much of a problem saving up for one, it'll just take longer. But if they are the same as PCs then I don't want to be spending extra money.

It all depends on your budget and what your want at the end of the day. I was in the same boat as you 4 yrs ago and I jump ship and got a Mac and never look back ever since.

Macs are stable

Macs are durable and doesn't feel cheap compare to other laptops

Macs has a great resale value even if it's a couple years old

You have the ability to install Windows incase you need to use certain Windows Applications

You don't have to put up with the viruses and spyware crap (4 yrs I have mine and still didn't catch anything.)

Mac offers great customer service

The only draw back is that there not cheap by no means, don't have as many applications like windows, and Macs are proprietary with their products.

If the price that scares you then their some great PC out that suit you needs since the average person checks mail, browse the net, uploads videos and pictures.

The choice is yours !!!

Mac vs. PC has been around a long time. The truth is both are made by 3rd party manufacturers in Taiwan and south east Asia from the same components. The only difference is the cosmetics - case, etc. - that you see. When Apple shifted from Motorola CPU's, they became basically the same as "PCs". I used to have an Atari ST520 (Motorola based). Other brands around that era included Commodore, Acorn, Philips.

The only reason people get Mac's is for the image, and sometimes the CAD software. If you are going to be using it as a facebook machine, I would recommend still going with Windows. It's not like if you drop $1000 on a Mac you won't have to buy another laptop for 5 years, in fact Apple tries to make you buy the newer version of every product you have.
