I now am using Windows Vista on my laptop. I've rearranged my Icons in a logical manner, but when I shut down the computer and bring it back up, I lose the new layout. Is there someway I can save the new layout of the Icons?

OS Vista, if you align your icons on your desktop the way that you want them, RIGHT CLICK someplace in the open desktop, look under VIEW. Make sure you have ALIGN TO GRID checked. The icons should remain in the sequence that you placed them. You may see that you have AUTO ARRANGE clicked, un-click it, and make sure you have SHOW DESKTOP ICONS clicked. Next time you close out, then restart, your icons should be in the same order you left them.

Hello,
I would simply create another toolbar and drop the shortcuts there.
I hate desktop shortcuts, I prefer a clean desktop. Besides I can recognize the icons anyways.
Even now in Debian GNU/Linux I do the very same thing.

what do you mean make it smaller? do you mean to assert the demonstrate decision> if that's so pass to administration panel and pass to demonstrate and seem for demonstrate decision and slide the administration to which settigs you desire there will be a preview and decide what you desire. Or because you're utilizing a workstation yoy be you mean merely the laptop icons? you could attempt putting your 2 palms interior the mouse pad and slide them going to a minimum of one yet another and your destop icon will become small. desire it enables coz I even have same issues previously while i exploit acer workstation.
