mac = computer made by apple

osx = operating system made by apple

will osx work on your system? only way to know for sure is to do some research on the osx86 project.

It's illegal, for some reason, to install OSX on a non Apple machine.

However, if you do not care and plan to do this on your own risk, I advise you dual boot, as you cannot fully install OSX on a non Apple machine. You first need something like virtual machine or virtual box. Then, with the OSX disc, insert it when it asks for an OS, and it should guide you through the normal install process. Hope this helped.

No, you can't install Mac OS X on a non Apple computer, not like you'd want to use Mac OS X...

If you dislike Windows, I would recommend installing Linux. It's similar to Mac OS X, but obviously better because it's not an Apple product.

Your hardware needs to be Perfectly compatible for MacOS and ACER is probably not a good choice. Look at Customizing linux to look like the MACOS.

You Acer won't support Mac OS X. Sorry!
