The Dell Inspiron 1525 is a laptop. In many laptops you can't swap out the CPU.

But on the assumption that you can in fact get to the CPU in order to swap it then the T5750 has the same Micro-FCPGA package as the T2370. And so should physically fit.

But you then need to worry about if the BIOS will support it and if the slightly higher clock speed of the T5750 will cause heat problems.

Really Dell should tell you the answer to all of this (even if the answer was, we don't support this CPU in this machine).

Dell may have soldiered your cpu in location making it not possible to improve. If you're serious about extending a computer systems lifestyles you're going to have got to construct one your self or acquire one from a regional laptop save that builds customized machines. Sorry approximately the unhealthy information. But at the brilliant facet Dell was once competent to get you again available in the market for a brand new laptop. Exactly what they'd in brain at the same time soldiering your cpu in location.

You would have to list the socket that you have with that processor. Generally, you don't want to spend the money on a new processor unless you are upgrading RAM and MB as well. This is because the minimal performance increase from the new CPU won't justify the cost of the CPU.

Unless your socket supports dual and quad core processors, it won't even be worth it.
