I had something similar happen to my HP laptop last Thursday........ suspected that either the hard drive connection had come loose inside the the machine, or had broke....... took it to the local computer shop for him to have a look at as I couldn't get inside the case. Phonecall from the computer shop bloke next morning confirmed it was a broken hard drive.

Strangest thing was when it first started doing it, I stuck it back inside my laptop bag for a few minutes while I got ready to cart it into town.... nipped out to vote in the general election... came back, decided to have one last go... stupid thing worked again for about 15minutes before crashing completely... wouldn't restart apart from the error message.... so off to the computer shop with it I went.

Was quoted £90 to have the hard drive replaced..... decided to replace it with a nice shiny new SAMSUNG N130 netbook off Amazon UK instead (£230) 'cos I was sick of the HP constantly going wrong - thankfully earlier this afternoon again persuaded the old HP to work just long enough to be able to transfer my files onto a USB flash drive and onto the new Samsung Netbook.

If it's making lots of Scrapey / clicky noises when you try starting it up it's probably a broken hard drive..... especially if you find your way into the BIOS settings, and the hard drive doesn't show in there.

There's still a way to rescue the data, but it may cost a fair bit...... http://www.ontrackdatarecovery.co.uk/laptop-desktop-data-recovery/

your computer is trying to boot into PXE which is a network location mostly used in corporations. I would try to fit f8 as soon as your reboot (continually hit f8 until the black screen comes up) and then boot with last known good configuration and see if that helps. Also make sure no USB flash drives are attached to the laptop.

verify the working gadget of the Acer netbook, seek for any stickers or labels on it, if it says living house windows XP, or living house windows Vista or living house windows 7 on it, then there would be no project wth the netbook helping the dongle. evaluate disconecting the dongle from the USB port, and un-setting up the appliance contained in the direction of the Controll Pannel. Then, plugging the dongle back in to the workstation. once you plug it back in a message could look asking you to place in application.

Unfortunately your hard drive has probably died. You have probably lost the contents. However if it is still under warranty they should replace it FOC. You will need to return it where you bought it from for repair
