Im looking to buy a laptop for my personal uses, specifically gaming. I am having lots of difficulty finding one because I really don't know what to look for. I don't want to spend much more than $1000 but I definitely want to make sure that this game can play Call Of Duty 4, that way I can kick my brothers *** in LAN.
If anyone knows the laptop system requirements for Cod4 or knows of any good quality gaming laptops for about $1000. Even just names of shops that sell laptops could help, but I live Gippsland so nothing too far away.

Thanks for your help

:)

Acers are good for gaming. So is alienware. Alienware's are just really awesome gaming PC's. But too expensive. More expensive then mac. My brother got the acer gemstone blue 6920G and it was a really nice comuputer. He played call of duty 4 on it and it was pretty fast. The laptop is like $2000 though. But you get what you pay for. Hope this helped. [:

Well a laptop for game well not a good idea

the reason is that laptop slow down by 50% to 60% and

laptop for gaming in 2 -3 years time that laptop will run about 10%

if u live in the US the world is your oyster:U have a huge range of sites and brands to choose from.Try www.newegg.com , www.bestbuy.com www.compusa.com

You will need a decent Graphics card Nvidia are the best. You should go for a laptop with at least a Gforce 9600 card.It may not play all games at top settings but it can certainly handle COD4.Try brands such as ASUS , Acer and MSI as they do cheap gaming laptops.Gateway are also good for gaming laptops.I myself am from ir4eland and cant get any of the above.(just to let you know)
