How use my laptop's internet connection for my android?

hi guys.im using htc explorer and an iphone 4s.i would like to use my laptop's internet for my htc.i created an wireless open network for it.my iphone recognized it.but in htc it says,"not in range",though the phone is too close to my laptop.wat shall i do please help me?

Install softwares like hotspot or connectify-me in your laptop....By this softwares you can now make your laptop act like a router..In mobile phone when you search for wireless networks you can see your laptop name...connect to the laptop and you can use internet from your laptop.

YES,it's possible,u can simply launch a VPN from your laptop and identify your phone to the network manager. I have a Dell and running linux on it,and I can do that easily either through WiFi connection or USB. I think that with windows it can only be done through USB,because windows uses bridge connection better than VPN. Anyway,just google "VPN" or "bridge network connection" to know how to setup the connection. This way is 100% guaranteed,and i always use it better than the phone's WiFi.

System Settings -> Network -> Wireless -> Use as hotspot -> Accept to disconnect if connected -> IPv4 Settings - Share to other computers-> Check out the options for changing the password/SSID and other more advanced things.



And if then you should connect to the internet through ethernet port and share that connection.

i'd suggest you a software " CONNECTIFY "

it'll create a free hotspot through your lapppy...

connect it (wont show any sorta problem)

also you can encrypt it through various methods.....like
