Is it just me or do MacBook Pro keyboard keys get greasy rather quickly?

I've only had my laptop about a week but already I can see fingerprint grease on some keys... (kind of rank, I know). Is this just me? Also, how best to remove the grease?

I have noticed the same on my macbook pro. They do get greasy real easy.

i just use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for cleaning the grease and grind off my laptop keyboards. but, that's really powerful stuff and can eat off the letters on your keyboard if your not careful enough.

and as for keeping it clean always.. just get a cover that goes over the keyboard and after a few weeks just wash all the grease off that instead of risking the complete destruction of the letters on the keys.

keyboard covers are usually cheap 5-25$ and can last longer than the laptop if maintained.

also, when you decide to sell the macbook pro and get the latest and greatest, just take off all the protective covers and skins and it looks brand new with no scratches!! that 20% off retail just went to 5% lol

The amount of grease deposited on the keys will vary from user to user. The black keys on a MacBook Pro keyboard may make the marks more visible than on other keyboards.

I've been using 'Pro s for years and not noticed this problem.

However, in your position I would just use a clean, dry, cloth to wipe the keys when logged out. Spaces between keys - a dry cotton bud.

It is best to not eat a Mac Donald's or kentucky fried whilst using it, and you could of course wash your hands occasionally.
