Go into Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Sound --> Manage Audio Devices and make sure the right one is set on default. Turn on something on your computer that makes sound like Windows Media Player and if the bar on the right side of the window isn't changing or it doesn't say your speakers are functional, they're probably broken. (Instructions sound confusing but you should understand while you're doing it.)

I lately bought an acer aspire laptop, about six months ago, then suddenly one day,I power on the laptop, and i heard a pop(sound) within the laptop,i didn't really take notice to that, anyway when i played a song on youtube,i heard nothing,I turn up the volume, and still not a sound.......I got scared and try and try different songs to see if the speakers are really broken, then i gave up,i didn't knew what to do......why is this, can it be that the internal speakers are broken?,becuas of the odd sound i heard earlier?

Make sure that the physical volume control on the laptop is not turned down.

You will probably need to reinstall the drivers to the laptops' speakers, you can get the drivers by going online to either the laptops website or sound card website.
