Following an accident spill with a glass of wine over my laptop. (Not me though, my pissed up girlfriend, lol.) the enter key no longer works. Is there a different way to "Enter"? It's especially annoying when I've written a long reply on Facebook and can't enter my comment. Thanks in advance for any useful replies.

At the moment, you can use an on-screen keyboard or virtual keyboard. There are lots of freeware versions for every OS out there.

For a short-term solution, buy a cheap USB keyboard. At least that will give you a complete set of keys. The best solution would be to have the damaged keyboard of your laptop replaced at the service center.

Take off the key and clean under it with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol

Some laptops have two in turkeys one on a separate keyboard which is set with the numbers now here's some very good advice you're in enter is not stuck it's full of liquid and if you don't do something about it immediately it's going to get down into side of your computer and ruin your computer permanently go on eBay put the make and model of your computer in to the search box order the keyboard for your laptop it's only $15 in the meantime any Wireless or any wired keyboard we'll work through the USB ports don't wait till the liquid Works its way out of the plastic inside the keyboard and Spills into the motherboard once that happens you'll be able to throw your computer in the garbage fix it now while it's only a $15 to buy yourself the replacement keyboard and watch the YouTube video on how to put it in its very easy

As others have said use the onscreen keyboard. After that either take it to a tech (will your girlfriend pay?) for the keyboard to be replaced or you could have a go at stripping the keyboard yourself and cleaning the membrane and keys with isopropyl alcohol. I have seem some techs do this although not all kb's can be stripped

Look up “on screen keyboard” for whichever operating system you use.

Just buy a new keyboard, they are cheap as chips.
