I contacted HP for drivers, and they told me they don't have them. Now, I don't know how, but one of three USB ports works. Is there any way I can download drivers for USB ports or duplicate the drivers from the working USB Port. Thank you

If it has a AMD APU with AMD graphics then go to AMD web site and download the latest graphics drivers. It will contain the USB drivers. If it has Intel CPU and then go to Intel website and look for the drivers there. If you have problems finding them then post make and model.

Post the complete model number of the laptop as well as brand and operating system.

Did you use a new boxed install of Windows 7 or install disc from another computers install ?

Go to HP support look up your model and the drivers for it and see if they are available for W7.

Go to control panel, devise manager, scroll to the Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports and right click it and click enable and click update driver. Restart laptop. All the Windows 8 drivers for the laptop should work for Windows 8.

It may be worth trying to download the windows 8 drivers from hp even if they don't have them for Windows 7. the systems aren't all that different, so there's an ok chance they'll work.
