How to save documents to MacBook pro instead of iCloud?

All of my current documents are being saved on iCloud.

How can I switch that to save them on the laptop?

– Make a backup of all important documents to an external drive.

– Unmount that external drive.

– Open System Preferences > iCloud.

– Next to iCloud Drive, click "Options".

– Remove the check from whichever apps you no longer wish to use with iCloud Drive.

when you hit save, tell it to save to your Documents folder. easy enough.

Change the save location as you are saving the files. Some apps also give you the option to change that before saving anything.
