So this has never happened before, I used dell media direct when watching dvd's on my laptop. It opens up, and kinda freezes halfway into it's opening animation thing, and doesnt go to the menu where you can choose to play the dvd or look at pictures or something etc....
I restarted my laptop,but it didn't work.
Can anyone please help?? I dont wanna download anything new or re-install or anything (this app came pre-installed on the laptop), and this isnt my laptop, so someone please help!! And if you could explain in plain, simple language please :)
Thank-you everyone in advance!!!

Your problem? It's a Dell.. Sorry I really hate dell.

But, who ever owns the lap top should reinstall the program, update, or install something else like Div X Media player/or Movie player. (Sorry, with lack of details - that's as much as i can say)

I'm going to safely assume it's a Windows PC. You should be able to look at the DVD in the stock Windows Media Player. If not, MAYBE quick time can play it. If he has iTunes. He has quick time

I can't help you with Media Direct for one reason and that is that it's stored on another partition. (You start it by pressing a button next to the power button, right? Or did they change it?)

get something else like Media Player Classic for DVDs on windows, or if you want a full media center get XBMC from http://xbmc.org/ .
