I have had 2 HP laptops over the past 4 years. My first one got ruined only because I tripped over the power cord while it was plugged in and loosened the soldering inside. Have never had any problems at all with my current one...so that is my personal experience. The best way to research is to look at reviews in online magazines.

Get Acer. They are desinged especially for portabilty. The design is so perfect that its easy to handle. Hp tend to produce more heat than Acer.

HP is better. It costs a tad more but the warranty is better and the reliability of the machine is solid.



The HP laptop I bought had a keypad which makes it easier for data entry.



NO offense, but unless you are doing much graphic design Apple is crap and won't load all software programs. The majority of the world uses IBM compatible software.

i've got an acer laptops since 2 years, and work perfectly for me, the last one 5672WLMi runs smooth and quite well.

Acer. It is an OEM. It builds its own plus builds pcs for other brands.

Usually I am not hung up on brands when it comes to computers. compare the fetures and support.

Honestly, neither. You have to go with Apple. Take it from me. I've owned everything from a Dell to a Toshiba and they've ALL failed on me. The headache of recovering lost data is unbearable. Apple is better designed and hasnt' failed me yet.
