how can i change the time on my HP laptop?

i got a brand new HP laptop since last month but the time says 00:02 that would be 12:02 AM... it is currently 6:02 PM right now

1. Windows key + i → Settings → Time & Language

2. Set Time automatically

3. Set Time zone to your location

4. On the left select Region → set Country & language

Right click the time & you'd see the settings for the feature there.

go to controlpanel

find time zone and set to your time zone from the drop down list

the time will come up automatically

Depends upon the BIOS setting. Did you go into BIOS to do the change to correct time for you instead of for factory?

And it depends upon operating system. There is setting for time and date in Windows that you can adjust. And you can ask for 12 or 24 type display of hours.
