You will find that Apple products are well constructed and thought out unfortunately they have become a status symbol.

It is the latest designer gimic to have and the owners have become hooked on them, I think they are to highly priced not only the harwqare but there software as well.

The Iphone excellent phone but in my opinion no better than my HTC phone the mac computer, I do not like the computer componets in the monitor I much prefer to have a separate unit for the computer and a monitor as a monitor and nothing else.

When I ran Vista I did not have a problem with it, I had to change a scanner as it would not run in 64 bit mode that was HP`s fault they would not issue a driver, I now use Windows 7 and again not a problem, I use one apple component, I like Itunes how ever I would not buy an apple computer I think for what they offer they are far to expensive. Ho wever at the end of the you must buy what you think is the best buy for you whether that be an apple laptop or another brand running windows.

Apples a good product. They are solid and you dont have many errors with them. They are great for doing design and production, but can be used for regular users as well. I have one and I love it. Its just solid.

PC's are great too, but the operating systems on them can suck. We all know windows XP and even though its so old, everyone uses it. Why? Because its stable. Vista came out and that was a joke. Windows 7 is not bad, but it is a resource hog. Uses a lot of memory and can cause a lot of problems still.

Apples are expensive because, its apple.. its the brand. You get what you pay for though in my opinion. I will never buy another PC laptop after having my apple, but at the same time, I am not saying dont get a PC. If you want to surf the web, check out pictures and videos, play games, etc.. get a PC. Macs work fine in that regard but they are expensive.

Also, mac's can have programs that are a little different. You can get Microsoft office on a mac but mac's have their own programs like open office (also available for PC) and iwork, ilife, etc.. Something to get use to.

See, it really depends on which type of computer you would want to buy, or prefer to buy. See you can buy a Windows operation computer, if it follows the following order : *You prefer to play hardcore gaming *You want an excellent video card, Macs dont offer you lots of video cards. *You are a work person, need a laptop for work *You want all sort of processors (E.g. You do not need a top of the line processor Intel Core/Core 2, you only need a Pentium M) And... Thats about it.. With macs, however you can buy it if it follows the following: *No Games! Image/Video editing. Thats about it! Or if you want a computer where you just surf the net, do some chatting maybe an ultraportabe laptop would be good for you...

As with anything you get what you pay for. Apple does not operate at the cheap end of the computer market. To quote the late Steve Jobs " We do not ship junk"....
