Well it looks like your problem is your storage device. An HDD is a mechanical storage device that stores data on a series of disks contained within the drive. Sort of similar to having a bunch of cd's, except that they can be rewritten over and deleted. The thing is, HDD's aren't very fast because they have to first find the data, then they have to read it. Reading the data can take time because the drive can only spin so fast, some drives are rated for 5400rpm, others for 7200rpm, and some for even 10000rpm. Your laptop is relatively high-end, so I'd assume it has a 7200rpm drive.
However, HDDs are not the fastest form of storage. You know usb flash drives and sd cards? They use another type of storage called flash memory. These drives are much faster than hard drives because, for one, there are no moving parts, that means no seeking times. All the data is right there and available to access. The read speed is pretty much determined by bandwidth of the chip that knows how to read the data on the drive. They make storage drives using flash memory called Solid State Drives, or SSD's. They are typically more expensive and come in smaller sizes, but they are a much faster method of accessing data.
If you want to speed up your pc, you have options. The easiest and cheapest option is to choose what programs you want to run at startup. Here is a link below how to do that:

Another thing that could be slowing it down is possibly viruses or other malware. You should try running a virus scan. Avast and AVG have pretty good free antivirus software, I'd check out their websites.
The option that would speed it up the most would be to swap out your HDD for an SSD. The problem is that a laptop can only have 1 internal storage drive in most cases and SSD's have much less storage at the same price point. For instance, this (laptop size) $80 SSD:

has 128 GB of storage, while this $80 (laptop size) HDD
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822149377&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
has 1TB.
You'd be sacrificing a lot in terms of space to go with an SSD, but your boot times would be much faster. The best price/GB SSD with a reasonable amount of storage for less than $200 I could find is this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820178456&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
240GB SSD at $160 - $20 (mail in rebate) = $140. But that is still a lot smaller than an HDD. It's your choice.
If you want storage and speed though, you could go with the $80 option above or even this 64GB $50 option
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211718&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
and get an external usb storage drive like the one below:

The final option is a bit ridiculous, but still on the table. Here is a link to a $600 1TB drive

Replacing the hard drive could be a huge pain though, because you'd need to backup all your data first and then install windows onto the new drive. I don't know how much you're willing to put into this, so I just gave you all the best options I could find.
