Here's the hub http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-4-Port-Ultra-Mini-F5U407/dp/B000Q8UAWY/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1279176809&sr=1-1
I don't use too many ports but the 2 ports on my Mac just don't do it for me. I'm getting a Western Digital External Hard Drive tomorrow morning and that takes up one port (laptop)

I plan to have one port on the hub always occupied with a mouse USB receiver. Then I'll use the others for iPhone, iPod, charging Flip, and transferring pics from camera.

Would this hub fit my needs?
If you've owned or currently owned please answer

This hub will not charge your devices. Not all at once anyway.

There are 2 types of hubs -- unpowered and powered hubs.

Unpowered hubs are simple hubs that simply draw power from a single USB slot to power any devices attached from it.

Because a USB slot can only give out so much power, your USB hub is basically splitting the amperage across all four devices attached to it. So -- not all of your devices will get enough power to charge.

Powered hubs have their own power adapter (also known as a power brick) which draws power from a wall socket. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=powered+USB+hub&x=0&y=0

Never fails..it will operate a USB Mouse+Keyboard..or a external HDD/

I also use this to Re-Charge my iPod..I don't even need to turn-ON my PC..just plug in the iPod/[end]

safe practices: A stressed connection delivers a more beneficial look after connection considering that records isn't being transmitted by the air. WiFi has encryption, yet that encryption may be extremely cracked for the tech savy/ determined intruder. in spite of if that is amazingly unlikely for this to take position, that is conceivable. Reliability: A stressed connection delivers a more beneficial good connection the position WiFi is susceptable to interferance and random signal loss. %: maximum WiFi connections have slower community speeds than stressed. B is 11Mbps, G is 54Mbps even as ethernet is 100Mbps. on the spot N and upcoming WiFi delivers quickly connections, which could extremely be trumped by a Gibabit stressed connection at 1000Mpbs. stressed is way more beneficial for top-bandwidth needs (like streaming video and recreation play).
