Brands are often very similar, the best thing to do is look for processor speed on the computer and the amount of ram. For instance quad core processors like intel i3 or amd a4 processors will be the best for the buck and any processors above it like amd 5 or i7. Also slap on 8 gb ram but 4 gb ram usually does the trick. Hp laptops usually seem to be most compatible with Microsoft and its products so I would say a hp pavilion or hp envy would work well, but also the dell inspiron or the Samsung series 3 would meet the criteria you would need, just don't be suckered into buying the 2014 models because there is very little difference between them and their previous and always find the best sell.

Brand name doesn't make a laptop "fast," the specs do..
Simply stick to a laptop with fast specs from ANY of those brands. An example of fast specs would be: At least a Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 500GB-1TB 7200RPM hard drive, and a dedicated graphics chip from nVidia or AMD. Simply stick to these specs from ANY of those brands, if you want a decent, fast laptop.

Go to a retailer like Best Buy and compare fit and finish on the different brands and see which one you like the best. Read reviews online to see what the experts think. Two such review sites are linked below to get you started.
