i have a Dell Latitude cpx laptop. when i press a key on the keyboard the wrong letter comes up. for example if i press U i get a 4 instead. please help as i have to use the on screen keyboard which is really hard to use.

You probably have NumLock on.
Press it once, and it should be back to normal.

It seems like you have the keyboard programmed in the wrong country.
To check this:
Go to Start > COntrol Panel > Keyboard > Hardware tab, check that everything is in the UK, and then apply, ok and things should be okay.
If not, you could download the driver for the keyboard from the maunfacturers website, in this case: www.dell.com/www.dell.co.uk.

he will able to answer it
I think the problem is of drivers
get right drivers from dell's website
OR
fix your problem by going in Control panel
regional and language options
and check if English is selected or not

Have you got your laptop keyboard set to the right country, Because that can cause problems like this you need to find out what it is set at UK Or US ECT.

i know this problem,
ive had it happen multiple times youv'e pressed the num lock key. press that again and it will return to normal.
take my advice it worked for me.

agree with above. check settings to make sure comp. set to run on eng(uk) and not from any other country
