I have a gateway notebook... windows vista home premium.. I have a Mobile INTEL(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family with what the gateway site says is the current driver. Every time i try to play one of a couple games (not very graphic intensive games here...) my screen goes all funky and minimizes, and i get this little icon that says "igfx display driver has stopped working, and has now recovered" I can go back to playing for 20 more seconds, then it does it again. I've tried everything I can think of, to no avail. I will be your bestest friend and send you loads of cookies if you can help me solve my issue. My last idea is to uninstall the current driver, and re-install it... which the owner of the laptop is very reluctant to do. Mostly because every time i've tried to download a driver for the stupid thing, i get error messages saying something along the lines of... "This product not authorized for your pc, get one from the manufacturer" ... I even got this from the one i downloaded off of the gateway site. someone help me!! we want to play diablo2 together.

OK....i have had problems with games too, the thing is it could be that the game does not work on vista...if the game says its for vista it will say vista 32 or 36 bit...then you have to look on your computer and see which one you have. if you dont the number bit on your computer that matches the game..then you wont be able to play that game on vista, you will need to play it on a windows xp. There are too many problems with vista..i have always played the sims and when i got my new laptop i couldnt play any of them.

Yeah, I would just be reinstalling the drivers. Make sure you get them from the Intel site though.
