Now my battery doesn't get charged while my laptop is on?

Question

bought lenovo Y500 30 months back.Now my battery doesn't get charged while my laptop is on. n it when it shut down, it starts charging, i have seen many other Company laptops they have good performers after 3-4 year, but lenovo have not like that.

My dvd drive is also not working whenever i insert a cd it shows a blank page and no contents of the cd get open...
plz tel wht i have to do

If u had the problem of battery-not-charging only then it could be becauseof ur charger or the battery itself of ur PC.

But u mentionned abt the cd problem then ur computer is under a virus attack.I would suggest a reinstallation of the entire system and use an anti-virus like AVGfree.

If still u can't get over these probs, then purchase another pc like Dell Vostro 1310, this one is the best!

hi most of the laptop will have this type of problems after 2 or 3 years.fist check the laptop by removing the battery and connect with the adapter .if its work fine then u need to change the battery

there is prioblemin your battery they start the charging when they empty and the problem in your cd drive is lens problem the lens do not read the content of the cd you open the cd drive and clean it after that it works
