Is there an Apple equivalent to the "delete" key in windows (delete functions as a backspace key on MacBooks)?

Also, are there equivalents for the "home" key and "end" key? What other quirks and idiosyncrasies have you noticed unique to the MacBook keyboard?

If you add a full size keyboard you will have a Delete key... On a laptop you hold down the Fn key and use the "backspace" key.

Full-sized keyboards have a backwards delete key. There is one delete key on notebooks. Typically, the cursor is at the right end of what you are typing if you are typing in English, so there is nothing to the right of the cursor. If you find that your cursor got moved back to the left, click ahead to where it should be, or press fn and delete. For most people, delete needs to go back (delete what you just typed) rather than ahead (delete to the right of the cursor). That's why the delete key should delete what you just typed, to the left.



Only full-sized Apple keyboards have a "Home" or "End" key. Most notebook computers do not have all 88 keys that a full-sized keyboard has, so certain keys are eliminated and key-combinations serve the purpose.

It can be quite annoying to try a new system. You can use a PC if it is more familiar.
