for the moment my laptop is severely lacking, and it is really annoying me! so i've been looking around and i don't want to spend too much. i do the occasional gaming, nothing hardcore or demanding. and i was looking at this laptop: Acer Aspire 5920G

Not bad. Its a good decent computer for everyday use. If that is what you are looking for then yeah, buy it.

It doesn't look bad by any means. If you're looking into dual core processors becareful with Intel. I know in the beginning their "Dual Core" wasn't a true dual core, it was a single core tricked into acting like a dual core. I don't know if things have changed with them, as I've always thought AMD was a better product and didn't bother to keep up with Intel. The AMD dual core is a true dual core.

It's good but from my experinece I think acer hardware is not fair enough but if you are a very careful user then it's very good for you

go for it, i personally like Acers they last well and you get a lot for your cash as illustrated by the specs you've listed.
