Ok, so one day I decided to watch a youtube video. Just to let you know, I have a 4G of RAM and I dont have much disk space taken up but my CPU usage levels go wack when I start processes. So when I was loading the video before play, I get the blue screen of death! Then the computer automatically restarted after like several seconds of the blue screen of death and I start in safe mode. I couldnt use nortons internet security to scan in safe mode so I shut down the computer to scan in normal mode. When the computer turned on, it said that my virus updates are not valid, so I run liveupdate and scan again. Then, I go back to youtube to watch a video and the homepage is totally not the same. I cannot watch any videos, the box that has like "(0)comments, friend requests, etc..." is totally not where it should be. and when I search a video the video pictures are scattered. WHAT SHOULD I DOOOOO??! I'm a college student and I rely on my laptop on a daily basis. Please help me. If u think I have to get it diagnosed and repaired, do you think it'll be expensive? IS IT EVEN REPAIRABLE?! Please help. Thank you

The easiest and fastest way to solve this problem is to run a registry cleaner software. A registry cleaner can eliminate errors in your record. This record stores all information about the software, drivers, applications and games that are installed on your computer. And in time, it can get bad, because some obsolete entries are not deleted and can lead to what they call the "blue screen of death."By using a registry cleaner http://make-computer-run-smoothly.com the blue screen error can be eradicated and increases the speed of your computer in the process. In addition, the blue screen of death will not happen if you regularly check and care for your computer system.

If I understood you correctly, you can no longer play youtube videos? That could be an indication that something has gone wrong with your browser and/or flash plugin.

You should try reinstalling your browser, or alternately install a second one and see if Youtube turns out normal there. If you're using Internet Explorer, try installing either Firefox, Opera or Google Chrome. Once that's done, see how the Youtube-site looks in the new browser. If you're already using one of the browsers mentioned, try one of the others. (You'll find download files by searching for them in Google or another search engine).

You may also need to reinstall your flash plugin for youtube videos to work. You'll find it here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Though without knowing the contents of the error message on the blue screen (if it appears again, try noting down any error codes you see), it's hard to say for sure what the problem is.

By the way, since you're in college, have you checked if your college offers any tech support that might be able to help you? Many colleges offer such services to their students for free. Could be worth checking out!

The quickest and cheapest way to repair your lap top problems would be to install a completely new operating system using a set of recovery disc made for the lap top and ordered by model and serial number because the BSOD means your operating system has corrupt files. This link might be of some help: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/whocrashed-sheds-some-light-on-bsod-errors-windows/

A set of recovery disc can be ordered from the lap tops manufacturers customer service.

Back up any thing of importance for later installation or use as it will be written over and lost when doing a full system install.

I think your Norton is expired. Do you do any maintenance to this machine like Disk Cleanup or Defrag ? Computers are like vacuum cleaners, every once in a while you need to dump the bag.
