How do I install Cinelerra on a Mac?

I want to use Cinelerra on Snow Leopard, and I don't know how to install it, and if I managed to, I don't know how to open it.
I'm not very experienced with Cinelerra on a Mac, on Ubuntu, which I use on another laptop, I just used YouTube to find the commands to install it, then I'd just open it with typing cinelerra in termainal.

You need to install MacPorts.



Once that's installed, go sudo port install cinelerra

Cinelerra is linux software - install by opening the package manager and searching for cinelerra... why do you need to follow instructions for that?
