You need to install fingerprint sensor driver for this.

Yes, I own a dv6 and it has the fingerprint reader. You can even see it in the picture they provided(its right below the number pad) The fingerprint reader needs some fine tuning though. A lot of the times, I need to scan my finger multiple times for it to work.
