what is the difference between wireless 802.11b/g/n and 802.11b.g ?
i am debating between 2 netbooks the hp mini note 1000 and the asus eee pc 1000h i want the hp buy i dont know if i need the n wireless capability if i have a G router will the both recieve it at the same speed or will the EEE pc will wireless N recieve it faster
also if i had a N router would the HP mini with 802.11b/g be able to pick it up ?

If you have a N router, definitely go with the hp. Wireless N is much faster than b/g and you will notice a speed increase.

n is the newest wifi standard which allows your system to receive signals from greater distances vs. b or g. g is most stable though. n still has some drop-off issues. if you compute near the wifi router, there shouldn't be any problem. if you live on a farm and need the extra distance, go n. your HP will handshake with the N router as N is backwards compatible. good luck.
