Reset laptop password?

Question

I gave my gramma my old laptop. I had only the administrater login to get onto the laptop. I cannot remember the password I had set on the laptop and now neither of us can get into it. How can I reset the password for this laptop without buying and special repair packages. It is a windows vista laptop.

As far as I know, You must use a windows password reset tool to remove or reset it, because you forgot the windows administrater password. you can certainly use free program or paid software to recover an Administrator password. Free one not only wasting you a lot of time, but also losing data sometimes. Paid one could be more safe and stable. I recommend 'Windows Password Seeker' Search it on Yahoo.
