I tried opening up my tcp connections on Windows Vista on my PC, so I downloaded a command prompt program from this site:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Network-Tweak/TCP-IP-Limit-AutoPatch.shtml (DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS!!!!!!!!!!)

After doing that I rebooted and now my computer keeps restarting after it trys to load Vista up. How do I fix this? GOD, please help me, im going to get killed if I cant fix this.

Heres some comments on the program (THAT I SHOULD HAVE READ BEFORE RUNNING IT) on what people did or something, but I dont quite understand it. So can someone please explain good to me what I do, because I dont know much about fixing computers.

WARNING! Do not use this with Vista SP1 !!!

Vista SP1 will not boot after you use this.

If you did, boot from Vista DVD and use command line tool to delete/rename patched tcpip.sys in c:\windows\system32\drivers and copy tcpip.original tcpip.sys, after that you can boot Vista again and return original registry settings, UndoVista_TCPIP_limit

Try starting your computer in Safe Mode and then do System Recovery to an earlier date before you got that program. If for some reason you cannot even do that, as a last option you could reinstall Vista, but you would lose all your data unless you have it backed up.

Ended up installing it to see what you were talking about. No problem since I use linux.

Ended up using Linux Knoppix Live to access my system32drivers to delete tcpip.sys and rename tcpip.original to tcpip.sys. Once you exit Linux just reboot & select Start windows normally (not the repair random new problem option).

^-- Great (free) option for anyone who doesn't have their Vista copy for any reason, or if yours came like mine & only has an Install option (ie: no Recovery/cmd prompt)

Well you're going to need your Windows Vista recovery CD and click repair your computer which was mentioned in the comments. Good Luck.
