I will work for a minute, maybe 10, then it won't connect. I have tried shutting down the firewall, with no luck ... so I don't think this is it. I have two other wireless laptops I use in the same area with NO PROBLEMS. Just this one. The weird thing is it will work for a while first before not working. I have to re-input the WEP code and set up the connection from scratch every time. What could this be?

May be there's a limit on accepting wireless connections.

I have encountered a same problem as yours - one laptop won't work at a place where all other laptops work.

It turned out to be a hardward problem. My case has no resolution. The connectivity is low and the connection also very easy to drop. Evetually I had to buy another notebook.

What happened eventually to my laptop is that, I did crazy testing with it until it dropped down from a location it was not supposed to be. Now the screen is cracked and I have to not only to get it repaired, but also to spend money to buy another new laptop.

My sincere advice, if it is really doesn't seem to work, accept the truth. Don't lose your patience and let anything happen to the laptop.

After the screen is repaired, the laptop will be for the education purpose of my kids.
