hey! so im trying to delete a account off of my macbook pro and it is giving me three options oh and the account i am trying to delete is standard
1) Save the home folder in a disk image (the disk image is saved in the deleted users folder)
2)Don't change the home folder (the home folder remains in the users folder)
3)Delete the home folder

i am confused as to what the home folder is if you could please elaborate and tell me what it is and what I should choose so I dont mess things up,thank you!

The Home Folder is the folder each User has on the Drive.

My Home Folder is /system/users/Will

When it is asking if you want to save the Home folder, it is asking if you want to keep that users documents or erase them. If you choose to keep it, the User Account will be deleted, but their Home Folder will remain on the hard drive - you can access it, remove what you want, and then delete it if and when you want to.

It's the folder assigned to that user so that they can store their files in a private location. If you no longer need the files, you can delete the home folder. Otherwise, you can choose to save the home folder in another location or keep it where it is.
