Everything goes slow. Internet, videos, games, opening files etc. It's only slight but very noticeable. Restarting solves the problem. Everything runs smoothly after a restart. But this means that I have to restart everytime I turn my laptop on and have waited for the looong process of booting up once already only to have to sit through it all again. Help = (

For running slow there are many causes:

Microsoft Registry Problems

RAM

De-Fragmenting

Etc.

Clean windows registry can speed up the computer.

Registry Cleaner can fix your pc errors.

Over time, you install new programs, uninstalled unimportant programs, update software's, install new devices,

download files from the web, etcetera, hence embarking all records in the registry system.

This is normal, but it is not wise to leave it untouched.

Once in a while, you have to check and remove files that are no longer in use to maintain the speed of your PC.

Clean registry make pc faster.

First, have you defragmented your hard drive recently? This is usually the main culprit for files etc. opening slowly.

Second, download and run Ccleaner, free from:

www.Ccleaner.com

this will clean any rubbish. DO THIS BEFORE DEFRAGGING!.

Thirdly, your slow start up. Go to Start/ Run.

type msconfig in the box and enter.

Go to the startup tab and unclick anything that is not vital. That is things that will start up when you want them to. eg Skype, Epson printer alerts, etc. Keep your antivirus etc enabled.

Once you have done that close it and reboot. Your start time should be reduced.

Heres your probem. There is a program that it is having trouble closing (ending the process to) try this. go to start the then type in that search box msconfig. once you do that Click the tab that say startup and uncheck all of them. hit apply and close. then restart your computer. after it start back up RESTART IT AGAIN TO SEE if it shut down faster. if so it is something that is in your startup files that is causing it to hang up. this process you are not deleting anything your just choosing what you want to start up. if you like you can go thew all of them to find out what is causing it to do that just check what you want to keep from starting up and stopping.

CC is a very nice tool ^^^^

maybe you shoud look into upgrading your ram?

if not that try clearing the cache mem.. i use another tool similar to CC its called glaryutilites it has a lot more optimizing tools than CC...it's very user friendly try it out! It has a great defrag prog, start up manager, empty file delter, etc.. .good luck. P.S. DV line sucks ...mine just broke :X
