How to get into BIOS settings on HP laptop?

Question

On my brother's HP Pavilion g7-2233cl, I've tried pressing all possible keys to get into the BIOS settings on startup. The keys I've used so far are 'F1', 'F2', 'F8', 'F10', 'F12', and the 'Del' key, and I press the key constantly from the second startup occurs.

Like I've said, this is a brand new HP Pavilion g7-2233cl we bought just 2 days ago.

The main reason I want to get into the BIOS is to enable the Turbo Boost on his A8-4500M processor, which was supposed to be set on Turbo Boost automatically, but it wasn't. So I'm trying to get into the BIOS so I can set it to the CPU's Turbo Boost.

esc key then at the menu press F10

On start up keep tapping either F1, F2, F10,(Be Aware that some manufacturers use F10 for system recovery!) Esc, or Del, to enter the BIOS set-up. Look for "Drive configuration", "Boot order" or similar and make the CD/DVD drive the first boot device. Save settings and exit. © arou42

Just a side note here, HP tends to disable MANY BIOS settings. You might have a difficult time with it... *sigh*
