Let me tell u one thing so that u would be able to take decision suddenly.

They are 2 laptops which comes under ur budget :

1. ACER

2. DELL

Acer is gud budget with excellent performance whereas Dell is a bit high compared to Acer with a gud built in quality and almost same performance !

But if u go for ACER u ll see the same specification in Dell costs Rs.5000-10000 more ! so better to go for ACER if u think that u can bear the tension and can overcome if the problem occurs in it coz anyone can't say about Acer's service bcoz it depends upon city to city ! But ACER and DELL both are same in reliability bcoz they never creates trouble ! Dell provides DOORSTEP SERVICE but in specifications u can't compare dell with ACER .

Look ,choose the best configuration in ACER if u think that problems doesn't arrive so easily in these gadgets. But if u r afraid about problems in these gadgets then go for best service in DELL !

Hi Prashant,

I hav purchased a brand new Acer Aspire for my younger brother who needs it for his classroom training n all n dat 2 for 23k wen it's priced for some 51+k in the market from RetailsDirect.

It happens to be India's only Online Interactive Store, where all products are available at a best buy price with the most secured payment gateway.

Infact, you can also compare different products in diff. brands or evn in same brands, in terms of their features, price n all.

To b honest, m not dat tech savvy person, but still i cud make my decision with the kind of genuine product knowledge stuff available on the portal.

I guess, you can consider this and visit them @ http://www.retailsdirect.com/ProductList.aspx?subCatId=205&rangeId=75

So, All the Best dear!

hi .....there r many brands like hp,compaq, dell, acer, sony, hcl, zenith, lenovo etc..

its better u go for the machine which r supporting xp like (hp compaq dell r not supporting xp)

acer zenith hcl comes with gud features and most important in ur price range

i suggest u theses models acer 4730vhb/linux,4930vhb/linux,6930

and in zenith and hcl....they just with loaded with features that no brand can affort...and coming with a price range 36k-40k..

and fetures like 4 gb ram,512mb nviida,intel t5800 c2d......

and if want service plzzzzzzzz dont go for hp compaq...

go for any indian brand like hcl,zenith...24x7x365....

just go to big dealer like CROMA....which is offering extended warranty

@ very low rates....
