This could be bad - especially if you like cream and sugar in your coffee, which when dry can become quite sticky.

It is either carefully and meticulously try to clean the keyboard with a cotton swab and alcohol, or get a new keyboard.

I would also remove the keyboard to see if any got inside the laptop. Some keyboard designs are better about that than others.

If you use sugar in your coffee...yeow!!

SInce you are using the on screen keyboard...how long ago did you spill the coffee?

The best thing to do when liquid spills on a keyboard is turn off the power, and immediately turn the keyboard so it is upside down. Place it in an upside down position for 2-3 days to dry it out and then see if it work.

If a laptop do not close the monitor, but padding the monitor with a heavy towel, hang the monitor section over a counter top or bookshelf, place the keyboard edges on 2 books of equal height, and then with the keyboard upside down, put reasonably heft book on the underneath side of the keyboard. (Do this to help stabilize the system with the monitor hanging over a counter or shelf.)

Try to dry off the moisture using a dryer ... but dont over do it....

clean the keys using a prescribed cleanser....

try switching it on ... if every thing works fine then its ok...

if not u have visit a repair shop....

let them decide wt's the damage and how to fix it....

If you're under warranty, send it in. Otherwise take it to a professional and let them look at it.

You probably should get a new computer.
