I have downloaded the iso files and burned them using imgburn but when i try to install on the mac the cd doesnt show. i cant boot into ce, i think thats the problem. I tried holding down c and also options but none of those work. any suggestions and advice? thanks.

The PowerBook G4, the ultimate professional Apple workstation series to apply the PowerPC processor. What this may advise for you is calling a Linux that runs on a %pc, by using motherboard and chip instruments. i'm no longer attentive to those distributions, so supplying you with a suitable away answer will be looking the Linux Distributions in an internet search for to discover one which will run on the computer. i do not comprehend if Yellow dogs Linux remains availiable, even though it became one which would run on a %and that i imagine some the position I considered one for Ubuntu Remix.

well there are a few things that could go wrong, like the burn was bad or not done right, the drive is a cd-rom and your using a dvd disc,or the download was bad.

or the drive cd drive itself is bad.

try to use cd-rw type discs so that you can erase them from bad burnings .

and download the md5 checksum for the OS to check it.

and from your post you mentioned holding the C key,but did you hold it while your booting the mac ?

If you didn't download the PowerPC build of these distros then you're doing it wrong. The standard version is for x86 CPUs. You need a PowerPC build.
