Hello everyone!
I am a college student, I bought the Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop about 1 year ago. I leave it in my backpack all the time and sometimes I left my backpack in my car.

My question is: is it good for my laptop if I put it in my backpack all the time? I worried about all the vibration from walking and running, and sometimes laptop got really hot when i left it in my car for long period of time. If it's not good for my laptop, what should I do?

Vibration might damage the hard drive. So back up your data often.

Then I wouldn't worry about heat because when they run, they can get up to 70 degree C(celcius)(190 degree F), and temperatur in the car usually never goes more than 40 degree C( 107 degree Farenheit).

Then you leave it in your backpack...

When your laptop gets lost or stolen, it's not the laptop cost that usually worries the people. It's the content inside the laptop such as your personal information such as SSN, name, phone numbers, bank information, other people's contact addresses, etc. Since you are carrying your laptop around, try not to store any personal information inside the laptop or any important information inside the laptop. If you need to store them, encrypt them before storing so others can not use it to steal identity.

Not sure if it will do any harm to your laptop but you have a good chance it will be stolen leaving it in your backpack and car so much!

It's fine as long as your laptop is not turned on while it is in your backpack/car. That means shutting it all the way down, not just putting it into standby or sleep mode.

it is never good for your laptop to get extremely hot the chips will stop working and you have voided your warranty if it damaged by extreme heat that you caused, vibrations yes it's bad but laptops are built for walking with, just don't drop it and it will be alright, solution would be to take laptop out of car and away from heat
