Question:
Why is my CPU usage is at 100% at the begining?

When I start my computer after few minutes I can not run any program from my system. I check the task manager and notice that my cpu usage is at 100 %. And my antivirus related processes are consuming most of it. Sometimes the program I ran at the very begining of starting my computer are consuming 99% of cpu usage. But after few minutes it becomes normal. I do want to know what is the problem? May be the problem lasts for just 4 to 5 minutes but makes me mad

Partly, 1 GB of RAM and a 1.7 GHz processor are the problem.

It's normal for your system to show 90-100% CPU usage when you first log on.

The amount of time it takes to settle down, however, is the problem.

For example, I have massive CPU and RAM in my computer but if I want eveything to open smoothly and not "stutter" when I first open it, I have to wait at least 30 seconds (but 3 minutes is better).

So, short answer, it's pretty normal.

Computers generally startup with loads of apps and startup items, which will consume A LOT of cpu usage and RAM. After the startup items have finished loading, the computer returns back to normal.

To shorten this time, I recommend www.soluto.com, a free app which you can delay some of your startup apps so you can use your computer faster

Activate only one antivirus software. Check your Startup programs and delete them from the Startup menu if you don't need them. Start regedit then check the entries under the following keys:

\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Delete programs on the right panel you think you don't need running.
