i cant upgrade new whatsApp version?

Hi
i have HTC wildfire mobile phone, i used whatsApp the past two years and it was woking perfectly.
However, after the new version came out. it won't let me download that version. it says your device isn't compatible with this version.
I tried uninstalling it and then re installing but it wont let me install it now either.

Plufie, could you explain in more detail how to do this please?? I plug my phone into my laptop but can't get into any files to transfer! Can you do it by Bluetooth? And also how to then install?
