So, today I opened up my computer and it said "Not Charging" where it usually tells me how much charge I have. I got my computer during the summer so it's not old. It's a Mac and I've never had this problem with ones I've had in the past. I took out the battery and tried blasting it with Office Depot duster, but it didn't do anything. The weird thing about it is that if i have the charger in it works so problem ( the reason I could see it said "Not Charging") but when i take the charger out i turns off immediately. I really don't want to take it to the store because of the icy conditions, but if i have to I will. Thanks!!

im not going to say this but when you buy a mac over a pc u fail

serious how many people actually could like buy a mac ..

not to say...

seems like a batt prob though

because why would it say not charging

the key to laptop batteries

is to not to overcharge

i dont even use my batt i run the damn thing off of external ac cord

you see at 75 percent dont charge it

also maybe you let it get to cold that messes with it

It sounds like a bad battery to me. If it is still under warranty try to make a claim with Mac, otherwise time to buy a new battery.

Just buy a brand new laptop rechargeable battery and install it by yourself.
