The programs mentions have no interface with your touchpad, the only one that MAY and i'm thinking crazy slim chance would be fruit ninja, but a program like that shouldn't interfere. It's highly unlikely they caused this issue. Make sure your touchpad does not have a touchpad lock, many laptops do have this lock, and it can be a bizzare method to unlock them, on my old laptop it was to hold your finger in the top right section on the touchpad for 5 seconds, and it would reactivate or deactivate it. The reason laptops have this feature is for people wanting to use their mouse. Alternatively, if you're sure this isn't the issue, try redownloading the touchpad's drivers. If the driver has malfunctioned, you can check it by clicking:

Start > type in "device manager" > open device manager > find your touchpad device and check the status of it, it may have a exclamation mark next to it if it's having issues

Log onto the Toshiba web site and make sure that the driver files are all up to date and also check your BIOS the Toshiba site will let you know what drivers and BIOS your machine should be using now.

also see if your build runs the additional package form Toshiba as there are some cool things which the touch pad can be made to do

maximum laptops have function Key combination that turns the trackpad on and rancid. On my Acer that's fn-F7 seem for an icon on the F keys that feels like a finger on a trackpad, then carry fn and press the Fkey..
