I have a laptop, a Dell Latitude E6500. The computer itself is making these beeping noises every so often. It used to be rare so I just ignored it, but now it'll do it multiple times, sometimes a few times per minute. It's not coming from the speakers, the sound is muted, so I have no idea what's causing it.

All laptops dont need mute in urgent cases they have their own volume witch unfortunatley you can not control. This is because...

1. you didnt let the laptop charge.( whenever you get a new device that needs charging you should leave it for 16 1/2 hours to charge then you should take the charger off and dont use it for 24 hours.

2. something of the dell broke.(try sending it to repair

3. maybe a slot is open somewhere and the dell is alarming you that if you dont close it then if you spill water the dell will break ( check for slots that arnt closed properly

4. maybe you put to many usb sticks and used all the slots ( take out all wires ex. headphones, usb stick, MP stick.

OR you could just simply send it to repair or excahnge your dell

PS. i am a dell profession and pc

I'm not sure if I have the same computer as you but I have a Dell and it beeps when the battery is about to die.

If you don't already you should plug it in till the battery is charged.

If that doesn't work I don't know.
