Someone on here told me to delete my system 32 folder and I did but my laptop won't start now?

Here is his post:

"Your laptop may still be loading up on old software which doesn't support touch screen. go into windows explorer and find the system32 folder. (on windows 7 its in C:\Windows\System32\ windows 8 should not be too different)
delete this folder as if has old 32 bit software. the new 64 bit will be loaded (if you can use windows 8 then it is loading). once you delete the system32 folder your computer wont have any remaining old software to default on and you will have touch access."

I was trying to get touch screen capabilities on my laptop but now I just want it to start back up. What can I do? I don't have a install disk. Please help!

Unless your laptop or desk top monitor already have "touch" capability, Windows 8 would operate just the same as Windows 7 for you. System 32 is the Windows Registry operating system. If it is deleted, your computer won't start up because there's no operating system to accept the commands. You'll need a Windows Installation disk to re-install the operating system again. Since you don't have an Windows Installation disk, you'll need to get one to install the Windows OS. You'll need to borrow an exact version of whatever Windows product you last had installed ( it must be the exact Windows version or it won't be able to be activated! ), or purchase a copy of a new Windows 8 installation disk. Always double and triple check any posts from people to make sure they are correct before you follow their directions. If you look at posts on the same subject from several people that are all in agreement, then you can be pretty sure the information is accurate. If someone doesn't agree, keep searching!

You NEVER delete the system32 folder...that contains ALL operating system and boot files. You now have to completely reinstall your operating system for it to work again, which means you're most likely going to lose all data and files on your hard drive. Also, unless your laptop already has a touch screen, you're not going to get touch screen capabilities on a laptop.

I'm impressed you managed to delete it considering the fact you can't fully delete that folder! You need to find / purchase an Operating System disk and then reinstall Windows to the computer, you should be able to save your data but you'll need to reinstall all your programs again as these will no longer work!

you're going to have to reinstall windows from the original discs. you should also track down the original answer and report them for either idiocy or malevolence - the system32 folder is an essential part of windows, deleting it royally screws up the system.

Holy ****. Any one honestly did it. System32 is your main information file that makes the laptop run. Through deleting it, you have ****** your laptop beyond ****. As far as i do know, it are not able to be re-downloaded. Incidentally, you must be the biggest dumb *** ever. I am surprised you managed to write this question before your brain melting.

Hahahaha... Wait your not joking? Well you just deleted your windows file, you've now lost everything. Take it to a computer repair shop as its obvious you don't know much about computers

You should report that idiot, or post a link to his profile so that we can!

Post make/model and I'll tell you how to access the recovery partition (if present).

If you don't have the Windows install disc then you are hosed.
