I am thinking about getting a notebook with 128mb memory and 4gb NAND drive storage. and i am going to but a 16gb sd card for some more space but i have some questions! What is the difference between storage and memory? If i do get the sd card will it let me download more stuff eg games and music or just do nothing? should i get it?

Yes. Memory is like short term memory for people. (aka RAM) the computer uses this to process what is happening at the moment, ex: loading a webpage. The flip side is your 4 gb. That's actual space, like when you save a photo or a music file.

storage is where you put stuff, both what you generate and what you download

memory is what your computer uses to operate.

think of storage as the water pitcher and memory as the spoon/cup/whatever you use to put water in the pitcher. the less memory the slower your computer will work to fill the pitcher

with any new operating system win XP or later 128 meg of ram will barely let the computer work, and it will be EXTREMELY slow

nothing diiferent between the storeage drive and the memory card. they both store files. go ahead, you can keep your files on an sdcard.
