If you can’t find the right sound card or wireless network drivers manually I would recommend just getting a software program that can do it for you. There is a program I use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it. Perform a free driver scan at:

You can also search by the following link:

Choices are to go to the "Advent" site to look for drivers for your system. Where did you buy your laptop? You may want to either search that company's site, if they have one.

Another option, why are they missing? Were they eliminated from your computer by mistake? If they hve not been eliminated, maybe they are somewhere on your computer still. In that case, you may want to open the "device manager" then uninstall each of the drivers for those devices ans reboot to see if Windows can find the copies of the drivers anywhere on the computer. Also check for a folder that will allow you to restore your computer to its former state.

One more option, if you go to "control panel" then "system" and click on "restore", if it was turned on, you may be able to restore your computer ot a previous stated when all was fine with it.

try downloading the equivalent drivers from below

The QT5500 is basically a rebadged Quanta TW3M (you should see TW3M printed on the underside of the laptop) so you can also download the Intel 945GM video drivers from the intel website. The link also has drivers for wireless and your audio - you are looking for conexant high definition audio drivers and Intel Pro 3945ABG wireless LAN drivers

If you are having problems finding drivers for the QCOM wireless card then try the Ralink USB(RT257x/RT2671) drivers, these are available on the Ralink website. The QCOM card uses a Ralink chipset so the drivers should work ok.

If you need to find a driver for the conexant high definition audio here is a link that may work it is for the same chipset for a compaq

You should be able to get the drivers from the tech guys website or they may be able to send/sell you a new driver disk. You can call them on 0844 800 3040 (charged at £1.50/min) or you can email them from here
