Contrary to the above comment, for $1000, I could possibly recommend the Dell XPS series of laptops. You'll only be getting an 8600MGT 256MB, but you're pushing it for that price. See the below link for details.



I've personally got one of these laptops, and I must say that it's been running everything I've thrown at it so far. It comes with a fairly decent T8x Intel dual core processor, so take a look at what they offer.



Runs Crysis on low - 25-40 FPS.

Assassins Creed - 50-60 FPS.

Unreal Tournament 3 - 40-50 FPS.

Yeah for $1000 it will be hard to find a laptop that can play recent games on good settings but as stated above you could find a HP or Dell that could do it on low settings

Hi according to your budget acer aspire 5920 is the best it has 2gb ram 160gb hd 1.3 mp cam 358mb video graphics memory,bt 4usb wifi etc.

do not go for DELL...they are **** laptops for gaming



look for an HP Pavillion laptop dv series.they fit your budget, and will normally come with a 128 graphics card too.
