If I understand you correctly, you are saying that you can boot up to Windows okay but no or almost no drivers load This is most unusual. Look at device manager to see what is going on. If you start in safe mode with networking, a generic driver for the wireless network will be loaded. You can then go on line and to the manufacturer's site to download all drivers. Good Luck.

All you guys suggesting a USB flash drive, David in his question has stated the USB drivers don't load. Without USB drivers, the USB port is useless.

David, i've NEVER heard of USB drivers not loading on any modern version of Windows.

Is this computer running Windows 98 first edition or an older OS?

Every modern version of Windows, including Windows XP, should support USB1.1/2.0 out of the box. Windows 8 should support USB 3.0 out of the box as well.

Check in BIOS and make sure USB ports are not disabled there.

Once you fix the USB ports, the rest of the drivers can be very easily copied using a flash drive..

USB is a plug and play so they should work. Go to the manufacturer's website on another PC and put the drivers on a USB drive and then install them from the USB Drive on the new PC

Buy a USB stick and download the driver at a friends place.

Don't you have a smartphone? It should be able to be used as storage. Download it to your smartphone.
