It will play videos but not sounds. If it helps when I open iTunes it says "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly." It is a Gateway laptop. It has speakers in it. When I try to turn it up it says no audio devices installed. Somebody please help!!!

This could be simple or hard. Sorry. The easiest answer, is that your audio driver is not installed, simple. GO to Start, Control Panel, and click on System.

When System starts up, click on the Hardware Tab. Next click on the Device Manager Tab. Then go to the Sound devices and click the + symbol. If you see any yellow question mrks, means you lost your driver. Even if you dont see it, you can go to Gateway.com and click on support and once you type the computer model, you can download the newest driver for your PC.

But before you do all this, make sure your volume is on :) by openign Windows media player and trying a song through that, other than ITunes.

The hard part (as mentioned above) is that your sound card went bad. that would require service. Hope this helps.

If your system is fairly new and you have on board sound then reload your 4 in one drivers for your motherboard first, second while your there you'll see your sound setup just run it and that will take care of your problem.

Hope this helps!

I think you should take your laptop into the nearest computer shop, and ask! There is a probably a simple thing wrong with it, and they will know in 20 seconds what the problem is.
