How to remove BIOS password, IBM Thinkpad?

Trying to remove a BIOS password off of an old IBM thinkpad T20.

Removed the CMOS battery for 6+ hours, no settings no date no time but still a password.
Can't get into BIOS set-up or boot device list.

Plz Help.

Not trying to sound like a jerk... but did you remove the main battery as well? and all usb devices that may have a battery? You must make sure there is absolutely no way for it to get ANY power. And for good measure once all battery and power supply possibilities are removed press the power button as well, this will discharge any capacitors that could retain a charge as well.

Re install original operating system using set of recovery disc made for the lap top then set the administrator password and user accounts.

Some notebooks won't let you change without a technician-repairman password. Check this tech article. It sounds like you have nothing to lose. There is a paragraph about a DOS cracker.
